There is also a market garden within easy walking distance selling locally grown fresh fruit, vegetables and eggs. Located just a mile away from one of Cornwall’s quaintest coves, Gorran Haven with its family friendly golden sandy beach protected by the old harbour wall. This stretch of South Cornish coastline offers some of the most stunning views along the South West Coastal Path which is nearby, known to many as offering a taste of the original Cornwall. For garden lovers, the cottage is just 14 miles drive from the now world famous Eden Project and only 2 miles from the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Caerhays Castle, gardens and beach are just 3.5 miles away and well worth a visit during spring when the gardens are at their best. Just 6 miles away is Pentewan village and its large sandy beach where cycle hire is available to explore the cycle routes of the Pentewan Valley, alternatively you may wish to hire or buy water sports equipment from Ocean Sports. Mevagissey picturesque harbour and narrow streets are the perfect setting for a visit with many cafes, good restaurants and shops. Truro, the regional capital of Cornwall, is just 17 miles and offers something for even the most discerning guests with a selection of shopping, from boutiques to department stores, Hall for Cornwall, multi-screen cinemas and Cathedral. Charlestown, often used as a film set, is home to traditional tall ships and Shipwreck Museum as well as many delightful pubs, restaurants and shops. Accommodation overview: Ideally positioned for exploring Cornwall, a few miles from a selection of south coast beaches. Situated on a courtyard shared only with the owners and is part of an original mill conversion, transformed into an immaculate, cosy cottage with plenty of space, high vaulted ceilings, original beams and tasteful decor. The area has much to offer, houses, gardens, walking, cycling and golf. The spectacular coastline holds many treasures including the quaint fishing village of Mevagissey, with shops and restaurants, small cove of Portmellon and spectacular Chapel Point. The Lost Gardens of Heligan just 3 miles and The Eden Project is nearby. Truro is just 11 miles away with good shopping and restaurants, the rugged North coast is also easily reached. The spacious, inviting accommodation offers ONE bedroom: double with French doors overlooking the courtyard, en-suite shower and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open-plan with TV/DVD, radio/CD, electric convector heating and wood burner (logs included), comfortable sofa, French doors, dining table and chairs. Kitchen area well-equipped with electric cooker, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. Use of owner's washing machine by arrangement. Outside: 2 seating areas, a gravelled area behind the barn and a small enclosed patio garden off the main courtyard. Amenities: ample parking.
