This superb detached cottage offers visitors an idyllic place to stay on the beautiful North Devon coast. Set on the edge of the Portledge Estate and only a 10 minute drive from Bideford. Renovated to a high standard it retains many character features such as beams and exposed stonework sitting alongside modern innovations such as under floor heating and contemporary fixtures and fittings. Approached through narrow country lanes, the cottage is set back in a quiet spot and has its own enclosed garden with a raised sitting area offering gorgeous views over Bideford Bay and beyond. Ideal for drinks on lazy summer evenings or mid-morning coffee. There is much to see and do in the area, the energetic can hire bikes or walk along the Tarka Trail, stopping off at various watering holes along the way, or join one of the various coastal footpaths with excellent views. Sandy beaches at Westward Ho! or Bude are ideal for surfing and have facilities for hiring wetsuits and lessons if required. The cliffside village of Clovelly is a must see. Wander down the cobbled streets to the pretty harbour where you can indulge yourself with superb local food. Freshly caught fish is nearly always available or for those with a sweet tooth perhaps a traditional Devon cream tea. All-in-all, the cottage offers couples or friends a conveniently situated yet private location in which to relax and enjoy all that North Devon has to offer.
