The small sandy coves of Sandymouth and Duckpool and the larger beaches at Bude are approximately a 20 minute drive. The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are ideal for a day's adventure. Other attractions in the area are RHS Rosemoor Gardens at Torrington, Appledore, a small fishing village on the Taw and Torridge estuary is worth visiting, from here you will be a short drive to the village of Instow where you can sit and relax in the sand dunes or hire bikes and cycle along the Tarka Trail.
