An exceptionally pretty and romantic cottage (gable facing) peacefully set in a riverside location just a mile walk from famous Rievaulx Abbey. With a cosy beamed interior it offers an ideal location for exploring the glorious North Yorkshire Moors at any time of year. Adjoining the owner's farmhouse it is just 3 miles from Helmsley with its excellent shops pubs and restaurants. Nunnington Hall Duncombe Park and Castle Howard are all within 12 miles and the steam railway at Pickering for exploring 'Heartbeat' country is only 15 miles away. Historic York is 30 miles. A fine village inn serving food 1 mile.

"This cottage was sheer bliss the location was unbelievably romantic and picturesque. Our host was perfect nothing was too much trouble he made us feel like an instant friend . The location was excellent as a springboard for exploring the numerous attractions around. It truly was the best place to go for a break I felt 16 again after just a few days there I am 51!"
