Accommodation overview: SET IN 250 ACRES, GUESTS ARE WELCOME TO VISIT THE FARM BY ARRANGEMENT Approached via a farm lane a detached former dairy and hayloft that has been renovated to a high standard with a spacious open-plan living area set on the first floor to take advantage of the view over the neighbouring field where cattle sometimes graze. The exposed beams, traditional Cornish granite and comfortable farmhouse style of the conversion creates a perfect retreat. Set in 250 acres, guests are welcome to visit the farm and see various activities by arrangement. Just 3 miles away you will find The Eden Project and other attractions such as Luxulyan Valley and Viaduct, the Tall Ships at Charlestown, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and many National Trust properties. Within 5 miles there are a number of golf courses including Lostwithiel, Lanhydrock and Carlyon Bay. The sandy beach of Par and the bays of St Austell are within 5 miles. Numerous other beaches on the South coast are all within easy reach and well worth a visit. In the evenings enjoy a BBQ on the patio or eat out at one of the local pubs within 1.5 miles. The accommodation offers lovely traditional features and TWO bedrooms: all downstairs, 1 large double with en-suite shower and WC, 1 twin bedroom. Bathroom: downstairs, with shower over bath and WC. Accommodation overview: NEWLY BUILT MODERN LOFT APARTMENT IN TRADITIONAL RURAL SETTING Accessed via external stairs and situated above a store room making it ideal for couples looking for a quiet retreat, or two friends looking for an enjoyable break in the countryside. The owner's stables are directly opposite the property. Nestling in a rural setting, the converted loft is a few hundred yards walk from the village which has a 12th century pub, whilst the Saints Way passes the property and offers excellent walking. The market town of Lostwithiel is close with shops, restaurants and pubs as well as Restormel Castle which overlooks the River Fowey and makes a pleasant location for a picnic. The beautiful harbour of Fowey is also within easy reach, where the renowned author Daphne Du Maurier lived. A festival is held each May, which is a celebration of her life and work. Fowey Regatta week (August) is a popular event, with competitive sailing events, street carnival, the Red Arrows display team and much more. The picturesque and unspoilt harbour of Charlestown is also worth a visit. Built in the early 19th century for the export of copper and china clay, it is home to a collection of old ships which have been used in film projects, and its Shipwreck and Heritage Centre has the largest UK collection of artefacts and treasure recovered from shipwrecks. You will be ideally placed to visit some of the many National Trust properties including Lanhydrock House with its extensive grounds. The Eden Project and Bodmin Moor are also easily reached, as are the North Cornish coastal towns of Tintagel, Port Isaac, Boscastle and Padstow.
