Accommodation overview: LOVELY 1850'S COTTAGE IN TRANQUIL VILLAGE SETTING In the tranquil village of Buckland Monachorum, this 1850's terraced cottage has been furnished and equipped to a lovely standard and is a short stroll to the village inn serving good food. With so much to see and do in the area, you will be a short drive to the popular pannier market town of Tavistock, South Devon and Cornwall beaches, historic Plymouth with its Hoe, Barbican, National Marine Aquarium, Theatre Royal, Buckland Abbey with its newly extended kitchen gardens, Morwellham Quay which is the filming location for the television series 'Edwardian Farm', numerous National Trust properties and more. Nearby 'The Garden House', which is a favourite of Gardeners World presenter Carol Klein, is just a 5 minute drive as is 'Wildside' garden. Rugged Dartmoor is on your doorstep and is a haven for walkers and nature lovers with golf and coarse fishing close by. In the village, the owner offers drawing and sketching classes, and free fresh eggs from their hens. In the evenings, enjoy a lovely meal at the pub or relax in the small garden area with seating. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge: with wood burner (first basket of logs free), TV, Freeview, DVD and CD. Kitchen/diner: lovely farmhouse-style with Rayburn, extra electric 2 ring hob with oven, microwave/grill, washing machine and fridge/freezer. Outside: sheltered garden to the rear of the property approached via a few steps and is backed by an unused old dairy. Amenities: roadside parking.
